Introduction
Welcome to Dinuka Perera Combined Mathematics ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website, mobile applications, and educational tutoring services (collectively, the "Services") for GCE Advanced Level Combined Mathematics in Sri Lanka.
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use our Services.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.
1. Services Description
We provide educational tutoring services for GCE Advanced Level Combined Mathematics, including:
- Classroom and online tutoring sessions
- Paper discussions and problem-solving sessions
- Study materials and educational resources
- Mock examinations and assessments
- Academic guidance and counseling
Our services are designed to assist students in preparing for the GCE Advanced Level Combined Mathematics examination conducted by the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka.
2. Student Responsibilities
2.1 Academic Conduct
- Attend classes regularly and punctually
- Complete assigned homework and assignments
- Maintain respectful behavior towards instructors and fellow students
- Follow all academic and safety guidelines
- Bring required materials to classes
2.2 Payment Obligations
- Pay tuition fees on time as per the agreed schedule
- Provide advance notice for any payment delays
- Settle any additional charges for extra materials or services
- Notify immediately of any billing discrepancies
3. Fees and Payments
3.1 Tuition Fees
Tuition fees are structured based on the selected program and payment schedule. All fees are quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless otherwise specified.
3.2 Payment Methods
We accept payment through:
- Bank transfers
- Mobile banking (PayHere, mCash, etc.)
- Credit/Debit cards (where applicable)
- Cash (in-person only)
3.3 Refund Policy
Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to the following conditions:
- Request must be made within 7 days of payment
- Administrative fee of 10% may apply to all refunds
- No refunds after the first month of enrollment
- Refunds are processed within 14 working days
4. Intellectual Property
All teaching materials, course content, study guides, and proprietary methods developed by Dinuka Perera are protected by copyright laws and intellectual property rights of Sri Lanka and international treaties.
Students may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute our materials without permission
- Record or video classes without explicit consent
- Share proprietary teaching methods with third parties
- Use our content for commercial purposes
5. Privacy and Data Protection
We comply with the Sri Lankan Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and international data protection standards. Our Privacy Policy, available at /privacy/, details how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
For students under 18, we obtain parental consent before collecting personal information.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dinuka Perera Combined Mathematics shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Student academic performance or examination results
- Issues arising from student's failure to follow instructions
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question.
7. Disclaimer
Important Disclaimer: While we provide expert tutoring services, we do not guarantee specific examination results. The GCE A/L examination results depend on various factors including student effort, prior knowledge, adherence to study schedules, and examination performance.
Our Services are supplementary to regular school education and do not replace the educational system provided by the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka.
8. Termination
8.1 By Student
Students may terminate their enrollment by providing written notice at least 7 days before the next payment due date.
8.2 By Dinuka Perera
We reserve the right to terminate services for:
- Non-payment of fees
- Repeated disciplinary issues
- Breach of these Terms and Conditions
- Conduct that affects other students or staff
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good faith negotiations.
If disputes cannot be resolved amicably, they shall be referred to mediation or arbitration in accordance with Sri Lankan law and the Arbitration Act No. 11 of 1995.
